Moss Removal
A project we completed recently was this roof clean in Bramcote, Nottingham. We discussed with our customer during quotation, the best approach for this roof. It was decided that it would be a manual scrape to get rid of all the visible moss. This was extremely visible as you can see from the before picture! We would then apply our treatment product.
Roof Treatment
Once the moss removal was complete, it was time to roll up our sleeves and get that treatment on the roof using our soft wash method. We didn’t need to climb onto the roof to clean the moss away, it was all achieved from ladder access only. It’s also important to note that we don’t offer any pressure washing method for roof cleaning. We know this kind of pressure on something that’s ultimately a shield protecting the most valuable things you own (your home and what’s in your home) is not safe practice. Pressure washing roofs can damage roof tiles and cause leaks so our beloved pressure washer is left behind on roof cleaning days!
Biocide Roof Treatment
We used a biocide treatment on this roof clean which isn’t as dense as water meaning it can soak into places that water wouldn’t reach. The purpose of this biocide is to kill all living organisms that create a blanket of dirt across your roof. It works slowly and effectively which means you will gradually see your roof becoming cleaner over a period of months. Eventually everything will be eradicated and your left with a clean roof again. This is more effective than pressure washing alone as it cleans better than pressure washing ever would!
Gutter Clean Included In The Service!
Once our treatment was applied all that’s left to do was wait for the results to show and you know what they say “All amazing roof cleans come to those who wait”.
We will be returning to this roof clean project in a years time to conduct a full gutter clear which is included in the service so watch this space for updates!
