Roof moss removal and treatment in Wollaton, Nottingham

This lovely customer in Wollaton was suffering with a large growth of moss on the roof. It was contaminating the surrounding surfaces below and continuously blocking up the guttering causing the gutters to leak and overflow.  We were contacted for our Nottingham roof cleaning service, Patio cleaning, driveway cleaning and a full UPVC clean. Upon inspection of the patio, we was also requested to remove the old patio pointing, and replace with a high quality patio jointing compound.

We began to by manually removing the moss from the roof using our specialist roof cleaning blades designed to fit the roof tile. We safely accessed the roof using our mobile scaffold unit so we could work safely. It is important that we use the correct equipment, not only to safely access the roof but also remove the moss fully from the roof.

Once we had cleaned the roof of moss, we then cleared out all the guttering and surrounding areas of the loose moss. We bagged up all the moss and safely disposed of it.

Now the roof was free of moss and gutters are clear, we safely treated the roof tiles with a high quality professional use biocide treatment. We treated the roof with a biocide as it is the safest, longest lasting way to clean a roof. It will continue to break down any biological growth as it begins to re spore within the pores of the roof tiles. This roof will self clean over the oncoming months until it is completely free of algae.

This property had a large block paved driveway that was in need a deep clean. We pressure washed the driveway and cleaned out all the joints of weeds and dirt that had built up. We then applied a biocide treatment to kill all biological growth all the way to root source of the growth. Once the driveway had fully dried we returned to re sand the driveway with kiln dried paving sand.

Re pointing  the patio is the final process of this patio restoration in Wollaton. Once the patio was dry from the patio cleaning, we then applied the jointing compound. We re-pointed this patio using Romex which is a brush in type pointing compound. After brushing in the patio grout we then went over every joint compressing it fully and then follow up with another full brush over with more patio grout to make sure every joint was full.
