Indian Sand Stone & Natural Stone Patio Cleaning
Indian sand stone and other decorative stone patios are very porous surfaces which will quickly become a breeding ground for biological growth which becomes green and slippery, not only looking bad but can also be very dangerous to walk on in wet conditions.
Due to it having pointed joints it is not recommended to pressure wash (also known as patio jet washing) which will cause damage to the pointing, allowing water to ingress, creating more problems for the pointing and the base of the patio.
This is why we have invested in Softwash equipment where we can clean your patio safely without the need for pressure washing. Softwashing kills the biological growth at the root which will keep it cleaner for longer.
We can seal Indian sand stone which will put a protective barrier over the surface which will massively reduce the regrowth of any biological growth, allowing much longer between cleans and treatments.
Pattern Imprinted Concrete Patio Cleaning
We specialise in Pattern imprinted concrete cleaning and sealing. Pattern imprinted concrete is the most tough and durable driveway & patio available, but it still must be maintained. We first pressure clean the imprinted concrete, then we Softwash the area with a biocide to kill all biological growth left on the surface. Then once it is completely dry, we will return and seal and re-colour when necessary to return it to its original condition. If you have a driveway that is also pattern imprinted concrete then check out our Driveway cleaning page to find out more information.
Will pressure washing damage the patio cemented joints?
In some cases yes pressure washing can damage the joints of the patio if they are already in poor condition because they stay damp and there is a heavy growth of algae and moss which will increase the speed of deterioration. So what we can do when we are concerened with the condition of the pointed joints is clean the patio with our softwashing method we can safely clean your patio which will help keep it cleaner for longer.
